Privacy Policy - JINA Drawer NeXt

Last updated: October 4, 2026

JINA Drawer NeXt is an Android application designed to organize and launch applications installed on your device. This privacy policy describes local operations, communications with online services, diagnostic reporting, and user rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU) and international privacy laws (including CCPA/CPRA for US residents).

It applies to JINA Drawer NeXt whether installed from an official store (e.g., Google Play Store) or distributed directly as an APK package.

1. Local Functions and On-Device Data Processing

JINA NeXt operates primarily on the user's device. Information regarding installed applications is processed locally to display, organize, and manage collections, preferences, and shortcuts.

2. Classification Services and Application Cards

Classification and app metadata retrieval services are engineered in accordance with the data minimization principle:

3. Crash Diagnostics (Crashlytics)

JINA NeXt integrates the Google Firebase Crashlytics SDK to detect system errors, monitor stability, and resolve application crashes.

No-Analytics Integration: JINA NeXt does NOT use Firebase Analytics. The Crashlytics integration does not attach user identifiers, custom logs, contact details, package lists, backup data, or collection contents to diagnostic reports.

Crash reports contain purely technical information, including:

Legal Basis: Legitimate Interest of the Controller (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) to maintain application stability, security, and performance.
Data Retention: Google retains diagnostic reports and associated identifiers for 90 days before initiating deletion from active systems and backups (Firebase Privacy Information).

4. Voluntary Contributions ("Help Us Improve")

The app includes an optional "Help Us Improve" feature allowing users to voluntarily submit diagnostic feedback to the developer. The exact report content is displayed to the user prior to submission and is transmitted only when explicitly initiated by the user.

Legal Basis: Explicit Consent of the user (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
Data Retention: Voluntary reports are stored on the developer's server for a maximum period of 90 days, after which they are permanently deleted or fully anonymized for catalog analysis.

5. Email Customer Support

When you contact customer support via email, your email address and any information included in your message or attachments are processed solely to respond to and manage your inquiry.

Legal Basis: Execution of contractual or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and the Legitimate Interest of the Controller to provide user assistance.
Data Retention: Support correspondence is retained for a maximum of 12 months following ticket resolution, unless legal retention obligations apply.

6. Data Controller and Contact Information

Crash diagnostic reports are pseudonymous, and JINA does not associate them with your name, email address, user account, or device’s Android ID. If you submit a request concerning crash diagnostic reports, we will assess whether any additional information you provide enables us to locate the relevant reports.

US Residents Notice (CCPA/CPRA): The developer does not "sell" or "share" personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Managing Permissions and Local Data Removal

You can revoke Android permissions at any time via Settings > Apps > JINA NeXt > Permissions. To remove all local data stored by the app, clear the application storage in system settings or uninstall the application.
